Last year, we were utterly made up when Olympic hopeful, Adam Baird, came to us and asked if we would brand his GB Bobsleigh team. Of course, we said ‘definitely’, and got straight into it!

If you haven’t yet heard of this dedicated athlete, let us tell you about him:

Adam's bobsleigh career began in 2017 when he competed for the Royal Marines and the Royal Navy. But it doesn’t stop there, he has an active sporting background, having competed at national level in powerlifting, rugby union and rugby 7's for the Royal Marines, and rugby league for the Royal Marines and Royal Navy teams.

Perhaps most impressive though, is his personal best in powerlifting: an eye-watering 247.5kg deadlift in the 82.5kg category!

In December 2019, Adam made his GB debut on the Europa Cup circuit in Winterberg, where he finished 24th alongside Taylor Lawrence. Since then, he has become a regular on the EC circuit, having had 13 race appearances by the end of the 2021/22 sliding season.

Having served in the military, Adam has been deployed to multiple locations around the globe, including a tour of Afghanistan in 2010.

In November 2021, Adam achieved a career-best seventh place in Lillehammer, a remarkable result considering he was only beaten by pilots with World Cup experience. Just 24 hours earlier, he had finished 10th at the same track.
