Client: Honourable Artillery Company (HAC)
Project: Brand Design
Designing a brand to stand at the top of the world!
In Autumn 2024, we had the privilege of working with the Honourable Artillery Company (HAC) to design the branding for their ambitious expedition, Vambrace Peak, a world-first mission to summit Mount Everest in 2025.
Drawing inspiration from the expedition’s name, "Vambrace"—a piece of armour symbolising strength and protection—we developed a logo that embodied resilience, ambition, and teamwork. The design featured a stylised mountain peak integrated with a vambrace motif, seamlessly blending tradition with modernity.
Subtle elements of the HAC’s regimental insignia, such as clean geometric lines and a nod to their historical colours, were woven into the design to reflect the organisation’s legacy. The upward lines of the peak symbolised progress and aspiration, perfectly mirroring the team’s determination to conquer new heights. The logo was crafted to be versatile, ensuring it worked seamlessly across a variety of mediums, from expedition gear and flags to digital platforms and promotional materials.
When the final brand identity was unveiled, it received enthusiastic feedback from the HAC team and expedition stakeholders, successfully capturing the essence of the mission while reinforcing the Honourable Artillery Company’s reputation for innovation and endurance.
Since its launch, the Vambrace Peak branding has played a central role in the expedition’s storytelling, featuring prominently in fundraising campaigns, team uniforms, and event promotions. It has helped galvanise support from the public and sponsors alike, setting the stage for a historic climb in 2025.
For us at Hiatus, this project was more than just a branding exercise—it was an opportunity to contribute to a legacy of courage and achievement. We are proud to have played a part in supporting the HAC’s extraordinary mission to reach new heights, both literally and metaphorically.
